Competitive Intelligence for Establishing a Knowledge Transfer Model
This project, funded by the Corporation for the Incubation and Promotion of Technology-Based Enterprises—Parquesoft Popayán, aimed to establish a clear model for conducting a systematic and ethical search of scientific literature, patent databases, and prior art to determine the novelty of ICT technology. To this end, a clear objective was established to evaluate barriers to entry, competitors in the ICT sector, potential customers, and the technology readiness level (TRL), as well as to identify business models (licensing, academic spin-offs, R&D&I contracts) to ensure a return on investment.
The use of competitive intelligence in this context would make it possible to identify market opportunities, analyze competitors, and assess technological trends. When applied to the ICT sector, it serves as the cornerstone for building an efficient knowledge transfer model, transforming scientific research and intellectual property into marketable products or services through technology-based companies (EBT).
