Spanish Thematic Network on Agent Technology and Multi-Agent Systems

The Spanish Thematic Network on Agent Technology and Multi-Agent Systems (historically known by the acronym REDAF) is a scientific research initiative funded by Spain’s Ministry of Education and Science through the National R&D&I Plan. Its main objective is to bring together, coordinate, and promote the activities of various Spanish university research groups and technology centers dedicated to the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of autonomous agents and intelligent distributed systems.

Its main objectives include promoting research to foster the development of joint projects among different Spanish research groups focused on artificial intelligence, modeling, and problem-solving through interacting autonomous agents; technology transfer to industry and the business community to optimize processes and decision-making; building a community and forum for debate through the organization of conferences, seminars, and scientific workshops; promoting training to stimulate teaching and the training of new researchers and specialists in the architecture and development of agent-based systems; and fostering international cooperation with similar European networks.
