TRAINUTRI<\/a> (TRAINing and NUTRItion Senior Social Platform) was a European research project carried out between 2010 and 2013 with the aim of promoting active aging among people aged 50 to 65. Funded by the Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) program and organizations such as the Carlos III Health Institute (AAL-2009-2 -129 and AAL-010000-2010-3), the initiative created a technological platform that integrated guided physical exercise, personalized nutrition guidelines, and social interaction networks to combat loneliness and prolong the independence of older adults in their homes. The project was carried out by an international consortium that brought together institutions from Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Greece, notably including companies such as Planet Media and MobiHealth alongside universities such as the UPM and the UC3M. From a technological standpoint, TRAINUTRI facilitated the development and validation of advanced mobile health (mHealth) systems, biometric sensors, and artificial intelligence algorithms applied to the online recognition of users\u2019 daily activities. <\/p>\n
